In this increasingly fast-paced, instantly gratifying world, you need something to slow you down and reconnect you with the essence of life and what better than Pottery to do this. The clay hour is all about getting your hands dirty, unwind from your routine and having fun with clay. Who can attend : This workshop is a pottery retreat for someone looking to unwind from an everyday schedule, get a hang of clay and experience the therapeutic feeling of clay. It definitely teaches some basic techniques but is more about having fun and going back to childhood when we all lost ourselves, felt relaxed and creative with clay. This could be a part of you anniversary, birthday, corporate event or any other special event. No prior experience in clay is needed. Duration : 1.5 hrs You will learn: Preparing the clay for use. Techniques used in pottery since ancient times like pinching, coiling, slabbing and scooping. Creating a form of your choice, making imprints of leaves on clay, etc. Points to Note: The course fees only includes firing cost of 2 products. Anything more than this will be charged accordingly. This does not include wheel demo or trying wheel pottery. Due to presence of air pockets in the clay which if not removed while kneading the clay, there will be high chances of breakages of the products you make for which Studio Sira will not be liable. This is a very common risk in pottery The course does not teach glazing or coloring. Booking and Cancellation policy: No show or absence in workshop cannot be considered for refund. Any cancellations will attract 10% deductions from the payment. Bookings are blocked or accepted only after 100% payment. Studio Rules: No eating the studio area. you can however eat in the designated area. No relatives/ friends/ guardians are allowed inside the premises during the workshop. You can wait outside the studio while the workshop goes on.
