Service Description

Handbuilding is a technique which allows you to create forms with your hands and basic tools without using potters wheel. It is the oldest form of pottery technique. With Pinching, slab building and coiling one can make smallest to the biggest pot. The session begins with getting perfect at the basic techniques and basic forms after which participants are allowed to make things of their choice. You will learn how to build, slow dry, bisque fire, glaze application and loading for glaze firing in this course. Participants can carry 5 products they make in the end of the course. Course fees includes: 12 kg clay, Basic pottery tool kit and 5 finished products to take away with you. Anything more than this will be charged according to studio rates. This is a 10 sessions course out of which 8 sessions are instructor led and 2 sessions are open studio/ practice sessions. 3 Compensatory classes will be provided incase you miss any sessions. Note: Course fees does not provide purchase of rolling pin. Rolling pins are a property of studio. Course session dates : Weekday Tuesday- Wednesday :Feb 28-1,March 7-8, 14-15, 21-22,28-29. Weekday Thursday- Friday :March 2-3, 9-10, 16-17, 23-24,30-31 Weekend Saturday- Sunday : March 3-4, 11-12 , 18-19, 25-26, April 1-2
